When I remote start my vehicle it sets my alarm off, how do I fix this?

If your vehicle's alarm is set off during remote start or trunk release it would be due to the factory alarm system. Please attempt to disarm the factory alarm using the factory remote or by unlocking the vehicle doors with the key.

If problems continue to arise with the factory alarm please see an authorized dealer for assistance.

    Hi Justin,

I am having the same issue with my 2009 Lexus IS250 - whenever I attempt to remote start my car the factory alarm goes off. Are you saying that I have to be within range to turn my alarm with the factory fob in order to stop it? Seems like a bother to my neighbors every morning if its going to go off every day at 8am until I turn it off.

I am also having this issue with my 2016 Toyota Rav4, whenever I attempt to remote start my car the factory alarm goes off, and as far as I know it does not have an alarm otherwise?

Brette Park- Justin seems to have gone on vacation...

What I discovered was that my car was not unlocking before starting so it triggered the alarm every time. My solution was to hit the unlock button on the fob first and then activate the car start.
