How to enter valet mode?

Valet mode can be entered in a couple of ways.

  • Turn the vehicle key in the ignition to the 'On' position.
  • Press and release the lock button and the trunk button simultaneously (buttons I & III).
  • Holding the buttons for over .5 seconds will cause this to fail.

 OR

  • Hold down the brake.
  • Cycle the vehicle key in the ignition between the 'On' and 'Off' positions 5 times.
  • Do not touch anything on the remote.
  • You will know that you have entered valet mode if you see the parking lights flash one time and/or you hear a faint click from within the dash.

    Hi Thumper Pup,

Valet mode is a setting in Compustar systems that will shut down the alarm and the remote starter. It is useful when bringing your car for service that way the mechanic is not able to accidentally remote start the car while using your keys.

The only feature that will be on at all times will be the keyless entry. Lock and unlock will remain active while on Valet Mode.

Here's more information on Valet Mode - https://support.compustar.com/hc/en-us/articles/202175740-What-is-valet-mode-

    Thank you.
